Responsibilities

  • Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
  • Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
  • Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters to identify electrical issues.
  • Support the setup of electrical panels, fixtures, and wiring in commercial and industrial environments.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure when needed.

Experience

  • Previous experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
  • Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work in physically demanding environments.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of low voltage systems; familiarity with high voltage systems is a plus.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
