Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems on construction sites.
Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support wiring, conduit installation, and equipment setup.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
Conduct basic troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters to identify electrical issues.
Support the setup of electrical panels, fixtures, and wiring in commercial and industrial environments.
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
Assist with framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure when needed.
Experience
Previous experience or exposure to industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical testing equipment such as ohmmeters.
Construction site experience demonstrating ability to work in physically demanding environments.
Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and electrical diagrams is advantageous.
Basic understanding of low voltage systems; familiarity with high voltage systems is a plus.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
