With a strong, profitable core business in Europe, centralized group functions (including procurement, finance, supply chain, and quality/regulatory), and a proven operational backbone, we are now building a scalable UK-based clinic and technology platform.</p> <p>Our ambition is to redefine patient access, experience, and outcomes by tightly integrating technology, clinical workflows, and data-driven growth.</p> <h2 id="tasks">Tasks</h2> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>Chronic pain remains one of the most complex and challenging areas of medicine, particularly for patients who have reached the limits of conventional treatment. We are looking for GMC-registered Pain Specialists who are open to exploring cannabis-based medicines within a structured, evidence-led clinical environment.</p> <p>As an early clinical partner, you will play a key role in shaping how medical cannabis is prescribed, governed, and integrated into the UK pain pathway. You will work within a multidisciplinary model alongside pharmacists and nurses, focusing on patient assessment, prescribing decisions, and ongoing care. Alongside patient-facing work, there is potential for the right candidate to grow into a Medical Director responsibility, helping to shape clinical governance, prescribing standards, and the wider clinical model of our UK platform.</p> <p><strong>What you will be doing</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct video-based consultations with patients seeking medical cannabis treatment for chronic pain, including new assessments and ongoing reviews</li> <li>Make evidence-led prescribing decisions in line with our clinical governance framework</li> <li>Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of pharmacists and nurses, with pre-consultation and follow-up tasks supported by the wider clinical team</li> <li>Engage in clinical outcome data collection and contribute to building the UK evidence base for cannabis-based medicinal products (CBMPs)</li> <li>Participate in clinical governance, MDT meetings, and continuous improvement of our prescribing protocols</li> <li>Take part in CPD-accredited training in medical cannabis, including bespoke specialist sessions</li> <li>Complete a structured clinical induction before conducting your own clinic: observe a minimum of three MDT meetings and shadow three full patient consultations (with patient consent); the first clinic must be observed by the Medical Director</li> <li>Participate in the high-risk patient register framework, applying enhanced monitoring protocols for vulnerable, young, or high-frequency-using patients in line with our clinical governance framework</li> <li>Obtain documented informed consent from patients prior to any prescribing decision and assess mental capacity in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005</li> <li>Prescribe on the basis of independent clinical judgment; prescribing decisions are not linked to session volume, revenue targets, or product selection</li> <li>Participate in the monthly clinical audit cycle, including consultation note audits, prescribing rationale reviews, and outcome audits</li> <li>Maintain GMC revalidation and good standing throughout your engagement, and notify the clinical governance team promptly of any change to your registration status</li> </ul> <h2 id="requirements">Requirements</h2> <p>What we are looking for</p> <p><strong><em>Required</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Full GMC Registration with a license to practise in the UK</li> <li>Completion of Specialist Training (CCT/CCST) or equivalent certification</li> <li>On the GMC Specialist Register for Pain Management (or equivalent specialty)</li> <li>Genuine interest in alternative therapies and the evolving evidence base around CBMPs</li> <li>Comfortable working in a digital-first, telemedicine setting</li> <li>Willingness to participate in structured data collection and outcome reporting</li> <li>Complete mandatory training before commencing patient-facing duties, including role-specific modules and annual or triennial refreshers</li> <li>Report all incidents and significant events through our incident reporting process, including near-misses and adverse patient outcomes</li> <li>Comply with all patient confidentiality obligations and information governance requirements as set out in our information governance and confidentiality policies at all times, including after leaving the role</li> <li>Enhanced DBS check (to be completed prior to commencement of work, required under )</li> </ul> <p><strong><em>Preferred</em></strong></p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with CBMPs or willingness to complete a recognised Medical Cannabis Course for Specialist Physicians (sponsored by employer)</li> <li>Experience in private clinic or telemedicine models</li> <li>Interest in shaping clinical pathways and contributing to the build-up of a new UK clinic</li> </ul> <h2 id="benefits">Benefits</h2> <p><strong>What we offer</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sessional, part-time, or flexible engagement — choose the working pattern that fits your portfolio</li> <li>Competitive sessional rates, reviewed regularly against the UK private market</li> <li>Comprehensive professional indemnity coverage for your work with employer</li> <li>No night shifts or on-call requirements</li> <li>CPD-accredited medical cannabis education and bespoke specialist training</li> <li>A collaborative multidisciplinary team that lets you focus on prescribing and patient care</li> <li>The opportunity to help shape the UK medical cannabis landscape from an early stage, with direct access to founders and a profitable European parent business</li> </ul> <p><strong>Working arrangements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Remote, UK-based: flexible working hours and days</li> <li>Standard session length: 4 hours; appointment duration: 15 minutes</li> <li>Initial onboarding: minimum 2 sessions per week (8 hours) to build proficiency on our platform</li> </ul> <p>If this resonates, we'd love to hear from you.</p>
