We are expanding our team and looking for an Assistant Manager of Procurement to support our IT procurement processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT products, vendor management, and procurement operations. **Job Summary:** The Assistant Manager – Procurement (IT Field) will play a pivotal role in supporting the procurement of IT hardware, software, services, and solutions. This position requires strong communication, negotiation skills, and a keen understanding of the technology landscape. The Assistant Manager will assist the Procurement Manager in optimizing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost\-effective and timely procurement processes. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Procurement Management:** * Support the end\-to\-end procurement process for IT\-related products and services, including identifying needs, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase order management. * Evaluate and process purchase requisitions for IT goods and services, ensuring timely procurement and cost control. * Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, orders, and supplier information in procurement management systems. * **Vendor Management:** * Manage relationships with IT suppliers, ensuring high levels of service and adherence to contractual terms and conditions. * Conduct supplier evaluations and performance assessments to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality standards. * Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value for the organization. * **Cost Optimization \& Budget Control:** * Assist in the development and management of procurement budgets for IT\-related expenditures. * Monitor and report on spending trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. * **Market Research \& Analysis:** * Stay updated on industry trends, new technology developments, and vendor innovations to ensure that the company is leveraging the best solutions. * Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and emerging technologies that could benefit the organization. * **Compliance \& Reporting:** * Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and external regulations. * Generate and present regular procurement reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators, supplier performance, and procurement cost savings. **Qualifications:** * **Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related field. * **Experience:** * Minimum of 3\-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the IT sector. * Experience working with IT vendors and a solid understanding of IT products (hardware, software, services). * **Skills:** * Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Excellent analytical and problem\-solving abilities. * Familiarity with procurement software and tools. * Knowledge of contract management and procurement best practices. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with procurement in large\-scale IT projects. * Certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPIM).
