The Opportunity
Carr’s Delivery Service is seeking a high-energy, decisive Operations Manager/Dispatcher to anchor our Corpus Christi terminal. This isn't a "sit back and watch" desk job—we need a tactical leader who can master daily dispatching while strategically overseeing our warehouse and driver team. If you are a problem-solver who thrives on logistical puzzles and team leadership, we want you at the helm.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Dispatching: Develop and optimize daily routes for maximum efficiency across the Coastal Bend.
Operational Oversight: Supervise the full lifecycle of daily operations, ensuring seamless transitions between warehouse handling and final-mile delivery.
Fleet Leadership: Manage, mentor, and hold drivers accountable to safety standards, professional conduct, and delivery windows.
Digital Integration: Maintain 100% accuracy within our TMS and various customer portals, ensuring real-time shipment transparency.
Communication Hub: Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, driver support, and inter-office coordination.
Requirements & Skills
Proven Track Record: 3–5 years of experience in logistics management or high-volume dispatching preferred.
Command & Control: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse personalities and high-pressure situations.
Tech Proficiency: Expert-level comfort with TMS software, customer portals, and Microsoft Office (Excel/Outlook).
Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of Corpus Christi and surrounding South Texas geography.
Strategic Mindset: The ability to resolve "right now" problems while planning for tomorrow's efficiency.
