<strong style="font-weight:700;">Job Title: Sheet Metal Installer</strong><br /><strong>Job Description</strong><p>This role focuses on fabricating and installing commercial wall and roofing panels, including insulated panels, aluminum composite systems, and single-skin metal panels. You will work in a sheet metal fabrication shop that produces custom flashing and metal systems such as gutters, downspouts, drip edge, and coping, and then support their installation on commercial projects.<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Fabricate and install commercial wall and roofing panels, including insulated, aluminum composite, and single-skin systems.</li><li>Assist in building custom sheet metal components such as flashing, gutters, downspouts, drip edge, and coping in the fabrication shop.</li><li>Interpret and work from blueprints and construction drawings to ensure accurate layout, fabrication, and installation.</li><li>Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, fastening, and assembling sheet metal components.</li><li>Perform sheet metal installation on commercial job sites, ensuring all work meets quality standards and project specifications.</li><li>Use rivets and other fasteners to assemble and secure sheet metal systems, including accurate riveting and repair work as needed.</li><li>Inspect installed systems and perform basic repairs or adjustments to ensure proper fit, finish, and performance.</li><li>Collaborate with diverse teams on-site and in the shop to complete projects efficiently and safely.</li><li>Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area in both the shop and field environments.</li><li>Adapt to changing tasks, priorities, and schedules to meet project deadlines.</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills</strong><ul><li>Demonstrated experience or strong aptitude in sheet metal installation for commercial wall and roofing applications.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.</li><li>Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for cutting, fastening, and assembling sheet metal components.</li><li>Capability to perform riveting and other fastening methods accurately and safely.</li><li>Ability to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.</li><li>Willingness and ability to work various hours and schedules as required by project needs.</li><li>Ability to work effectively as part of diverse teams in both shop and field environments.</li><li>Strong willingness and ability to learn new tasks, techniques, and installation methods.</li></ul><strong>Additional Skills & Qualifications</strong><ul><li>Previous experience in construction or metal fabrication environments.</li><li>Familiarity with installing gutters, downspouts, drip edge, coping, and other custom flashing systems.</li><li>Basic repair skills related to sheet metal systems and components.</li><li>Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.</li><li>Reliable work habits and a strong focus on safety procedures and best practices.</li></ul><strong>Why Work Here?</strong><p>You will join a team that values craftsmanship, collaboration, and continuous learning in a specialized trade environment.
