<b><b>Job Description:</b></b><br/><br/>Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Supplier Development Manager to join our Procurement department. You will be part of a team developing supplier activities and you will be involved in securing aircraft deliveries on-time, with perfect quality. <b>We would prefer to have a candidate in Atlanta, Washington, D.C., or Charlotte, NC, but minimally, this person needs to be based near a major (midwest to eastern) airport hub such as: Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, D.C., NYC, or Philadelphia. </b><br/><br/><strong><b>Meet the team:</b></strong><br/><br/>The Procurement team's mission is to acquire indirect goods and services for Airbus commercial aircraft and helicopters, playing a major role in generating value and supplying to the overall competitiveness of the company. Our team members ensure on-time delivery and on-quality of equipment and systems, drawing on their expertise in Industrial, Operations & Quality Management, and strong relationship building skills to problem-solve and proactively mitigate supply chain issues.<br/><br/><strong><b>Your working environment:</b></strong><br/><br/>This position is mission-based and you will travel weekly to Airbus suppliers & their subtiers. The missions range from short-term (a few days conducting an assessment) to long-term (months spent solving complex supply chain or quality management issues). Wherever possible, we foster flexible working arrangements to stimulate innovative thinking.<br/><br/><strong><b>Your challenges:</b></strong><br/><ul><li>Supplier development management</li><li>Stakeholder management</li><li>Special projects</li><li>Depending on certain situations, this position can require up to 80% travel, primarily domestically; but occasionally internationally.</li></ul><br/><br/><strong><b>Your boarding pass:</b></strong><br/><ul><li>A Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>A minimum of eight (8) years in professional experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, and/or Program Management</li><li>Must have demonstrable experience applying quality management tools/techniques</li><li>Supplier Recovery and Crisis Management</li><li>Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Six Sigma</li><li>Practical Problem Solving</li><li>Lean methodologies</li><li>Transfers of Work between Production sites and/or to other countries</li></ul><br/><br/><b>Salary range based on the required profile: $145,000.00 - $150,000.00/year. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on geographic differential. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
