Work Location: Remote work – with planned in office training and meetings in The Woodlands, Tx.
Assignment Duration: 6 months contract with possibility of converting to a full time offer.
Work Schedule: Remote - Working hours of 7am-4pm Central time, Monday – Friday.

Position Summary
The Remote Oncology Triage Nurse provides telephonic triage services, assessing patient needs and collaborating with qualified staff to ensure appropriate care.
Key Responsibilities
Document all care elements in the patient\'s medical record and accurately identify high-risk conditions.
Provide patient education and direct additional care to appropriate resources if necessary.
Under general supervision, deliver professional nursing care adhering to national and organizational standards and guidelines, as well as state licensing board scope of practice.
Recognize the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of patient care and participate in company-wide quality initiatives.
Support the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, to ensure patients receive timely and expert guidance, enhancing patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Qualification & Experience
Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) Texas or other compact state license (additional state licenses may be required).
Oncology Certified Nurse (or required to obtain within 1 year).
Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2 recent years in oncology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and telecommunication tools.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Attend all onsite meetings and trainings located in The Woodlands, Tx office.
