• TRAFFIC GUARD (JFK Airport)
Starting Pay: $21.25/hr.
Schedule: Part-Time - shifts available:
3:00 AM – 11:00 AM
11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
7:00 PM – 1:30 AM
Job Duties:
- Direct traffic in parking lots and ensure smooth vehicle flow.
- Monitor for irregularities such as security breaches, safety hazards, and emergencies; notify appropriate responders when needed.
- Remain alert for unauthorized persons or suspicious activity; report or detain violators until authorities arrive.
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure safety and security.
- Inspect gates, doors, and access points for security compliance.
- Prepare routine reports and maintain accurate records.
- Provide escorts as necessary and enforce site rules (e.g., no loitering or carrying prohibited items).
- Perform periodic checks of emergency call boxes and lighting; report malfunctions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid NY State Security Guard License required.
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and climb stairs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and react appropriately in emergencies.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of CPR, first aid, and fire extinguisher use is preferred.
